Fortum divests its shares in Solvencia and enters into new pan-Nordic debt servicing agreements with Lowell

CLP advised the listed global energy company Fortum in the divestment of all its shares in the Norwegian credit management company Solvencia to Lowell, which is one of the largest credit management companies in Europe. The agreement also includes debt servicing agreements where Lowell will handle collection claims on behalf of Fortum’s electricity sales in Finland, Norway and Sweden. The transaction is not subject to any formal approvals and the ambition is to close the transaction in September.

CLP’s team consisted of Lars Gunnar Aas, Amund Erdal, Christine Schjerven and Jeanette G. Brokerud.
