Agder Energi has entered into a 2.2 TWh PPA with Yara for delivery of electricity from Norwegian hydro power production to the pilot project for production of green hydrogen and ammonia at Yara’s factory in Porsgrunn.
The PPA has a tenor of 10 years and will contribute to the decarbonisation of Yara’s ammonia production in Porsgrunn. By electrifying the production and replace gas with Norwegian hydro power, the pilot project will lower Yara’s annual CO2 emissions with 41,000 tonnes and produce emission free hydrogen and green ammonia for Yara’s own use and export.
CLP’s team consisted of Amund Erdal and Lars Gunnar Aas.
