Hans Jørgen Langeland is specialized within trade law and retail.
He has extensive experience with advice and dispute resolution in trade law structures such as franchise, JVs, supply-, distribution- and agency agreements.
Langeland assists numerous Norwegian and international retail businesses, hereunder contract advice and negotiations, compliance with consumer regulatory rules, marketing law, anti-trust and GDPR.
During the recent years, he has assisted clients with a wide range of legal issues regarding e-commerce set ups and innovative products and services.
Among the retail segments Langeland has worked extensively within are groceries, consumer electronics, construction goods/DIY, furniture, cars and clothing. He also assists within several service-based segments, such as hotels and food service.
He also has significant experience from various industries, inter alia manufacturing of goods, construction of industrial machines and technical equipment, recycling and raw materials.
Langeland has broad international experience, and has inter alia worked several years as lawyer in China. He frequently assists clients with trade law related advice and dispute resolution in foreign jurisdictions, both in relation to international manufacturing/sourcing of goods and establishment in foreign markets.
