Agder Energi enters into long-term power purchase agreement with the Swedish industry giant Boliden

CLP has advised Agder Energi in the negotiations and signing of long-term power purchase agreement with the Swedish industrial group Boliden.

Agder Energi will supply 15 TWh of electricity over 15 years to Boliden’s operations in Sweden and Finland. Boliden has an ambitious strategy for electrification of smelters and mines, and to phase out the use of fossil fuels in production and transport.

“Our mission is to deliver clean energy to the society. This agreement is an example on how Agder Energi as a renewable energy group can cooperate with large industry players for electrification of their businesses. This way we may together with the industry speed up the green transition,” says Steffen Syvertsen, CEO of Agder Energi.

The CLP team was led by Amund Erdal and Lars Gunnar Aas.
