CLP has assisted ECO STOR in forming a joint venture with Li-Cycle and Morrow Batteries

CLP has assisted ECO STOR in forming a joint venture with Li-Cycle and Morrow Batteries to construct a lithium-ion battery recycling facility in southern Norway. ECO STOR, based in Oslo, provides high-performance, low-cost energy storage systems for residential, industrial and grid connected applications. Li-Cycle, based in North America, excels within lithium-ion battery resource recovery and provides end-of-life solution for lithium-ion batteries and creates a secondary supply of critical battery materials.

Once constructed, the recycling facility is expected to have the capacity to process up to 10,000 tons of lithium-ion batteries a year, including battery manufacturing scrap, full EV packs, and energy storage systems. The facility is expected to be operational in early 2023. ECO STOR will provide the facility with end-of-life lithium-ion batteries.

CLP’s team consisted of Lars Gunnar Aas and Arve Rolstad Jahren.
